Vintage Paper Journals
Welcome to my hand made journals world !
One of my favorite thing in creating journals is to offer one-of-a-kind journaling experience ! Each journal is a unique piece or art, with a mix of original vintage papers, pockets, ribbons and 100% cotton watercolor paper.. I want my journals to bring joy and happy journaling times! My journals are available in my boutique
My journals are created with selected French vintage papers (ledger register, old books, vintage letters, invoices,…). I have been collecting papers over years. The oldest I have is a cotton paper ledger from 1820 that is divine for dying!
I repurpose old material as much as I can as my credo is really to Journal with Less!
Journal pages are mainly vintage nude tones with bits of colors here and there: keeping pages sobre enables many techniques such as paint, drawing, collage but at the same time removes the “white page syndrome” with vintage papers being a background by itself.
I make journals in various sizes, different cover style and binding techniques.
Journal Covers
My journal covers are refillable made in Japanese travelers notebook style: covers can hold several inserts as well as a journal. They are made from vegan Oekotex leather, fabrics and ribbons. Covers come in different sizes A6, B6 slim, A5 to fit many classic notebooks (Moleskine, Leuchttrum, Hobonichi, Midori, ect)
Hard cover journals
Part of my re-purposing journey is also to reuse vintage books.. I use the pages to journal on and reuse the cover for creating an upcylcled journal. Vintage books have beautiful covers including leather covers. For those beauties, I use signatures or classic book binding technique, add fabric structure and all kind of paper goodies: dyed paper, pockets, vintage ledgers…
Soft Cover Journals
My flexible cover journals are made with fabrics and flexible material.
I love to use repurposed fabrics such as my grand ma vintage bedsheets that I dye (she had tones of them !) . The covers are decorated with silk ribbon and recycled tea bags. Those journals have 3 to 5 signatures.
A teal dye like journal online class is available here
Teabag Journals
If you love tea, collage, colors and recycled material… you’ll get in love with Teabag Art Journals
I got in love with repurposing used tea bags, and started to create journal covers with them. The tiny teabags put together with fabric become a pretty solid material. Once died, hand printed and painted, those teabags give a wonderful vintage bohemian style to the covers.
Travelers Notebook Inserts
My Vintage Paper inserts fit in standard TN’s size. I love the combination of using Travelers Notebook and their accessories along with my hand made journals. The combination of both, colored ribbons, leather and vintage papers is superbe !
